INGREDIENTS

  • Sabudana (soaked overnight, drained)
  • 1 cup
  • boiled potato (mashed)
  • 1 cup
  • roasted peanut powder
  • ½ cup
  • green chilies (chopped)
  • 1–2
  • Tsp cumin seeds
  • 1
  • Rock salt
  • to taste
  • Oil
  • for deep frying

    Instruction

    1. Soak Sabudana

    • Rinse the TWOROOTS sabudana thoroughly and soak it in just enough water for 30 minutes.
    • Drain well to remove excess moisture and let it rest for 2 hours.

    2. Roast and Crush Peanuts

    • Dry roast ¼ cup peanuts, cool, and coarsely crush them.

    3. Prepare Dough

    • In a bowl, mix soaked sabudana, 1 cup boiled & mashed potato, crushed peanuts, 1–2 chopped chilies, 1 tsp cumin, and rock salt. Knead into a smooth dough.

    4. Shape Puris

    • Divide dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a puri using a little oil to avoid sticking.

    5. Heat Oil

    • Heat oil in a deep kadai on medium flame until hot enough for frying.

    6. Fry Puris

    • Fry puris one by one until puffed and golden brown on both sides. Drain on tissue paper.Serve hot with fresh curd or green chutney.
    PRO TIP

    Skip deep frying and cook the puris in an air fryer with a light brush of oil for a crisp, healthier version.
